Therapy Process
Step 1
Intake / Referral
We accept self-referrals, GP Care Plans, NDIS plans, and privately funded referrals. Prior to the initial appointment, an intake form is completed to provide background information and referral details.
This phase includes collection of developmental and case history, observation of the child during play and functional tasks, and completion of brief screeners or informal assessments where indicated. Information gathering may occur over up to three sessions and may include a parent-only consultation, depending on the referral purpose and the child’s needs. A verbal summary is provided at the conclusion of each session.
Step 2
Initial Consultation
Step 3
Report & Feedback Session
A written report is provided if requested. A parent-only consultation may be offered to discuss clinical observations, screening results, identified family- and client-centred goals, and recommendations for an appropriate therapy plan.
Step 4
Ongoing Therapy Sessions
Therapy sessions may be delivered across a combination of settings, including home, daycare, kindergarten, and school environments, as well as parent-focused telehealth consultations. Therapy goals are regularly reviewed, and session frequency, format, and focus are adjusted in line with progress.
